curved wall flexible crown moulding

Flexible molding gives the appearance of real wood.

It is moisture and insect proof.  It can withstand extreme heat and cold temperatures without warping, cracking or deteriorating. Wainscoting kits and flexible crown moulding decoration gives your living room an elegant mixture of color and style that is both attractive and wonderful.

How to paint Flexible Moldings?

Painting: All paints work well but latex is recommended. Primer is(not necessary but best results are seen when a primer coat is applied. When using Acrylic or Oil based or water base or Latex undercoat is required. Never paint before installation. The material is flexible and the paint may crack during installation.

Most standard paints are compatible.

Staining: Thin, watery or mainly solvent base stains will not work well. If you must stain  the molding, be sure to use a heavily pigmented oil base stain, gel stain or artist oil. You can also mix tints or stains into a clear glazing liquid available at most paint stores. Wipe or brush stain to desired color and apply a clear top coat finish.
Is flexible molding temperature sensitive?
Flexible moldings are a polyester resin based product and are less flexible when stored at  low temperatures. Improper flexing of the material below 56 degrees F may cause breakage. Before installing allow molding to reach room temperature somewhere between 60-80 degrees F. for 24 hours.
